Register for the Asia Pacific Domain Name System Forum 2023

24 April 2023

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation (HKIRC) invite interested participants to register for the Asia Pacific (APAC) Domain Name System (DNS) Forum 2023 in Hong Kong, China. A dedicated website has also launched to provide more information about the forum.

The APAC DNS Forum 2023 will be held 4–5 July 2023 as a hybrid event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This is the second year regional DNS experts and the ICANN community can come together at this forum to discuss topics such as the digital outlook for the Asia Pacific region, cybersecurity, the future of the DNS, and emerging technologies. All sessions will be conducted in English during working hours in Hong Kong (UTC+8).

Registration for both in-person and virtual participation begins today. The one-time registration will provide access to all forum sessions, including pre-event webinars. Additional details such as nearby hotels and event sponsorship opportunities are also available on the forum's website.

In the lead up to the APAC DNS Forum, pre-event webinars will be open for community members to discuss topics of interest in relation to the forum's theme of "Reimagining the Internet: Digital Transformation that Matters." ICANN community members are welcome to submit topic proposals for these pre-event webinars. Refer to the event website for more details.

Participants attending the forum in-person are advised to review the travel safety guidelines for Hong Kong from your country's government, or a reputable source like the Hong Kong government.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
