ICANN Publishes FY22 Q1 Unaudited Financial Results

3 November 2021

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) published its unaudited financial results and Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) published its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2022 (FY22). View ICANN's financials here, and PTI's financials here.

ICANN's financial position remains as strong as the past several quarters. Funding through September 2021 is higher than the previous year's actual funding and the current year's budget funding, driven by the growth of domain name registrations. Expenses are in line with the previous year's expenses and lower than budget expenses, primarily due to timing delays.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
