ICANN Community Excellence Award 2022 Honors Vanda Scartezini

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is honored to announce the recipient of the ICANN Community Excellence Award 2022 is a long-time member of the ICANN community, Vanda Scartezini.

The selection panel of representatives from ICANN Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees recognized Scartezini's commitment to ICANN's multistakeholder model and her leadership in various ICANN community groups.

The ICANN Community Excellence Award honors members of the ICANN community who have deeply invested in consensus-based solutions and contributed in a substantive way to policymaking within the ICANN ecosystem.

Scartezini has been an active member of the ICANN community since 2000. She collaborated with many ICANN community groups and committees over the past 22 years. During her service, Vanda served in the leadership of

  • At-Large Advisory Committee
  • Governmental Advisory Committee
  • ICANN Nominating Committee

During her time with ICANN, Scartezini also served as a member of

  • ICANN Board of Directors
  • Security and Stability Advisory Committee
  • Latin American and Caribbean Islands Regional At-Large Organization

As a co-founder of the DNS Women Program in 2009, Vanda has provided invaluable support to ICANN's multistakeholder model and its effectiveness. As a pioneer in the creation of the ICANN Fellowship Program, Scartezini served on the Fellowship Selection Committee for three years.

Vanda Scartezini is an electronics engineer. She is a co-founder and partner at Polo Consulting Associated and a partner at IT Trend Consulting.
