Call for Nominations Begins for ICANN Academy 2023 Leadership Program

6 October 2022

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has issued a call for nominations for the 2023 Leadership Program to be held 9-10 March 2023 in Cancún, Mexico, which is just prior to the ICANN76 Public Meeting.

The Leadership Program helps current and incoming leaders better understand the complexities of ICANN, while also helping to develop their facilitation skills.

Current and incoming community leaders interested in participating in the program need to be endorsed by their Supporting Organization, Advisory Committee, or stakeholder group Chairs. ICANN organization will reach out to the respective chairs for nominations and a registration link will be sent directly to individuals who are nominated.

The deadline for nomination is Thursday, 10 November 2022. The Leadership Program does not provide financial support for travel to Cancún but does cover accommodations and offer a stipend for the days of the program.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
