Call for Expressions of Interest for Independent Adviser to the ICANN Board Audit Committee

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is seeking expressions of interest to serve as an external Independent Adviser to the ICANN Board Audit Committee.

Background

The ICANN Board Audit Committee is responsible for reviewing the annual financial report of ICANN's operations and financial position, as well as overseeing ICANN's internal financial and accounting controls and procedures. To continue to improve controls and procedures, the ICANN Board Audit Committee has in place many best practices used by private company audit committees. One practice is using an external professional as an independent adviser to the Board Audit Committee to provide financial expertise and advice and assistance on questions related to ICANN's financial statements.

The ICANN Board Audit Committee is seeking to fill this opening as soon as possible. The Independent Adviser may be requested to attend some or all Audit Committee meetings and to separately discuss or analyze issues, as appropriate and requested.
