SARS Travel Update

There are no SARS cases in Montréal and the entire province of Québec. In Canada, SARS cases have only been reported in Vancouver and Toronto. Toronto is about 550 kilometers (350 miles) west of Montreal.

The Province of Québec has taken pre-emptive measures by screening potential victims and quarantining people who might have been in contact with SARS patients. As a result, no cases whatsoever have been confirmed in Montréal or the Province of Québec as of this date.

On 30 April 2003, the World Health Organization lifted its travel advisory to Toronto. On 14 May 2003, the World Health Organization removed Toronto from the list of areas with recent local transmissions.

Additional Information

Additional information relating to the meeting agenda and schedule is available on the ICANN website. The meeting website created by the local host has information about accommodations, the meeting rooms, visa procedures, vaccinations, sponsorship opportunities, and social events.
