anycastNET
Incorporated hereby submits this "Expression of Interest" to ICANN
for the purposed of stating our intention of operating a registry
for the gTLDs listed below. anycastNET Incorporated is currently operating
these gTLDs in the ORSC root zone and has established their use. Current
use and operation of these gTLDs is undisputed. All gTLDs listed have
had applications filed in accordance with RFC1591.
anycastNET Incorporated intends to operate these registries an manners
consistent with their nature. For example, a registry for ".ham" (for the
Amateur radio community) would have different characteristics than that for
".global".
.home
a generic TLD for personal use, such as "marsh.home"
.global
a generic TLD for global use, in a manner similar to .com and .net
.set
a generic TLD for global use, in a manner similar to .com and .net
.ham
a generic TLD for use by the amateur radio community
.sys
a generic TLD for use by ASPs, networks and other systems operators -
similar to the original intention of .net
.tel
a generic TLD for use in the resolution of "web phone" listings,
"voice-over-the-Internet" applications, etc.
anycastNET Incorporated is currently involved in developmental efforts with
several other parties for the creation of a registry/registration
management system for new gTLDs. anycastNET intends to participate in the
formal application process for gTLD registries.
