1. Domain Tasting

Following a request from the At-Large Advisory Committee in spring 2007, the GNSO Council called for an Issues Report on Domain Tasting from ICANN Staff in May 2007. An Issues Report [PDF, 429K] was delivered on 14 June and discussed at the San Juan meeting, where the GNSO Council resolved to establish an ad hoc group for further fact-finding on the practice of domain tasting. The ad hoc group delivered an Outcomes Report [PDF, 849K] on 4 October and the GNSO Council is currently deliberating on what approach to take for further work in this area.

2. PDP on clarification of transfer denial reasons

Following the outcomes:

• Points of clarification Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy [PDF, 89K]
• Communication to GNSO on Policy Issues arising from Transfer Review [PDF, 89K]
• Advisory concerning Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy from a GNSO Working Group reviewing the current Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy, the GNSO Council resolved on 20 September 2007 to request an Issues Report from ICANN Staff on a subset of the provisions regarding denials of transfer requests. The Issues Report is due for delivery to the Council on 19 October 2007.
