ICANN Allocates IPv6 Address Blocks to the Five Regional Internet Registries
12 October 2006
On Tuesday October 3, ICANN through its Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) allocated large blocks of IPv6 address spaces to each of the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) to promote the efficient assignment of those address spaces to the RIRs' customers.
Review and Recommendations for Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)

ICANN welcomes the recently announced Request for Comments (RFC4690) from the Internet Architecture Board (IAB).

ICANN has been advised that a Proposed Order referencing ICANN has been submitted to the court in the matter entitled e360Insight, LLC et al. v. The Spamhaus Project, Case No. 06 CV 3958. This lawsuit is currently pending in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
