Reviews are mandated by ICANN's Bylaws to evaluate the performance of the ICANN Organization, its Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs). The purpose of these Reviews is to examine existing processes and recommend improvements that will enhance performance in the future. ICANN Specific Reviews
- Second Review of the Security, Stability and Resiliency of the Domain Name System (SSR2)
Observe the upcoming SSR2 Review Team face-to-face meeting at ICANN59 in Johannesburg on 25 - 26 of June. During the meeting, the Review Team will continue to develop their scope of work and assess background information. Meeting details can be found here. he SSR2 Review Team recently provided its Terms of Reference to the ICANN Board and held a face-to-face meeting in Madrid. Learn more here.
- Review of Competition, Consumer Trust and Consumer Choice (CCT)
Observe the upcoming CCT Review Team face-to-face meeting at ICANN59 in Johannesburg on 24 - 25 of June. During the meeting, the CCT-RT will advance their work on assessing and proposing improvements to the New Generic Top-Level Domain (New gTLD) program. Meeting details can be found here. Keep an eye out for another public comment period that will take place before the Final Report is issued.
- Review of Registration Directory Service Policy "WHOIS" (RDS/WHOIS2-RT)

ICANN Organizational Reviews
- Second Review of the Nominating Committee (NomCom2)
The Analysis Group has been selected to conduct the independent review of the NomCom. If you are a former/current candidate who applied for selection by the NomCom, or a former/current NomCom appointee or member, the Analysis Group would appreciate receiving your input. - Second Review of the At-Large Advisory Committee (At-Large2)
On 2 May 2017, ITEMS international, the independent examiner reviewing the At-Large Community, published its Final Report. The report contains findings and recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the At-Large Community. The report has been translated into the five UN languages and is accessible on the At-Large Review webpage.
- Second Review of the Root Server System Advisory Committee (RSSAC2)
Help ICANN find an Independent Examiner for the second Review of RSSAC. ICANN is seeking an independent examiner to conduct a review of RSSAC. The review will focus on the RSSAC's purpose, operations, structures and accountability. Please share the Request for Proposals with eligible candidates. Click here to learn more. - Assessment of the Ombudsman Office
An assessment of the ICANN Ombudsman Office was initiated in response to Recommendations from the Second Accountability and Transparency Review and the Cross Community Working Group Work Stream 2 (CCWG-WS2). The independent assessor Cameron Ralph LLC will soon conclude its assessment.
