Proposed FY20 Operating Plan and Budget for ICANN Board Adoption Published

2 May 2019

LOS ANGELES – 02 May 2019 – Today, the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) published the proposed FY20 Operating Plan and Budget, and Five-Year Operating Plan update, after the review of public comments. This is the final proposed draft that is being sent to the Board for consideration and adoption during the Board's workshop from 1-3 May 2019.

In addition, the ICANN organization and Board Finance Committee have approved the Staff Report of Public Comments [PDF, 629 KB], which was originally published on 22 March 2019.

Under ICANN's Bylaws, after the Board adopts these documents, the Empowered Community then has the ability to reject them before the documents go into effect.

Another announcement will be sent out after adoption by the ICANN Board.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
