ccTLD Voluntary Contributions
2001-2002
The following tables summarize contributions made by ccTLD registries
to ICANN in fiscal year 2001-2002. This is broken into the three tiers
used for budgeting purposes:
- Tier 1: Fewer than 5,000 domain names
- Tier 2: Between 5,000 and 50,000 domain names
- Tier 3: Greater than 50,000 domain names
During 2001-2002, the first four ccTLDs (.au, .bi, .jp, and .mw) entered
into ccTLD agreements with ICANN. Except for these four, all contributions
were voluntary.
The following tables show the voluntary contributions. The "fair
share" column is a nominal amount indicating a level of contribution
suggested as being in accordance with a budgetary model developed by the
Funding Task Force as refined by the Budget Advisory Group in 2001-2002,
and used for ccTLDs and others under agreement. As indicated above, ccTLDs
not under agreement are not obligated to pay this or any other amount,
and all contributions are quite voluntary.
