Re: Appointment of Non-voting Liaison to ICANN Board

Appointment of Liaison

ICANN Bylaws Article VI, Section 9 provides for the Government Advisory Committee to appoint a non-voting liaison to the ICANN Board of Directors.  The ICANN Bylaws Article VI, Section 9, Paragraph 2 also provides that the body entitled to appoint a non-voting liaison shall give the Secretary of ICANN written notice of its appointment.  Pursuant to these Bylaws provisions, notice is hereby given that the Government Advisory Committee on 20 June 2010 has appointed Heather Dryden from Canada as its non-voting liaison to ICANN Board to replace Janis Karklins for the remainder of his term, which ends at the end of the first GAC meeting of 2011. This decision is effective on 25 June.

Respectfully

Janis Karklins
