SSAC Web Site Makeover:

SSAC advises the ICANN community and Board on matters relating to the security and integrity of the Internet's naming and address allocation systems. In Marrakech, SSAC will report on matters relating to the unanticipated consequences to registrants or their DNS Name Servers when domain name registrations are deleted. The incidents and attack scenarios described occur after any renewal grace or similar holding periods have lapsed. SSAC Chairman Steve Crocker will also report on the committee's efforts to encourage community awareness by expanding and better organizing the information it publishes at the Committee's web site.
The Standing Panel of Experts is a newly organized group which analyzes potential security and stability effects of proposed changes in registry services for registries which operate under the ICANN registry agreement. Lyman Chapin is the chair of this new group. He will describe the group and its intended operation.
