Abley - Director, DNS Group
Joe joined ICANN in 2009. He provides direction and management for
ICANN’s production DNS services, including the L Root Nameserver.
Joe engages in technical community outreach through regional operator
meetings, and is an active contributor to the IETF. Before joining ICANN,
Joe held technical operations and architecture roles for TekSavvy, Afilias,
ISC and AboveNet.
Mehmet
Akcin - Critical Infrastructure Engineer, DNS Group
(PGP Key)
Mehmet Akcin has joined ICANN in 2006. He is currently a member of the DNS Operations Group. The team that's responsible for the all operations of Anycasted L-ROOT, One of the thirteen DNS Root Servers. DNS Operations Group is also responsible of the deployment, operations and development of DNSSEC and all other DNS Servers and their network at ICANN. Mehmet regularly attends Network Operator meetings.

Antonoff - Director of Human Resources
Steve Antonoff joined ICANN as Director of Human Resources in March
2007. In this capacity Steve is responsible for the global human capital
activities of the organization with a particular emphasis on performance
management, sourcing qualified individuals to join the ICANN team, and
developing efficiencies in process and procedure.
Nick
Ashton-Hart - Senior Director Participation and Engagement
Nick Ashton-Hart is the Senior Director Participation and Engagement.
He is responsible for recruiting new participants in ICANN's work, and
new communities of interests who are not presently involved, and to further
empower existing volunteer communities so that all feel their time spent
with ICANN is increasingly valuable and effective.
Donna
Austin - Manager - Governmental Relations
Donna joined ICANN in February 2005, in the ccNSO Policy Support role
which she held until April 2007. She has more recently taken on the role
of Manager — Governmental Relations which includes being the GAC
Liaison. She has also supported the Nominating Committee in 2005, 2006
and again in 2007, and is the project manager for Accountability Framework
discussions with ccTLD managers.

Beckstrom - President and CEO
Rod Beckstrom commenced as President and CEO of ICANN on 1 July 2009.
Bridgett
Benmosche - Sr. Human Resources Representative
Bridgett joined ICANN in December 2007 as Sr. Human Resources Representative
where she is responsible for a broad range of HR activities including
recruiting, records management, benefits administration, training and
development, and policies.
Doug
Brent - Chief Operating Officer
Doug Brent joined ICANN in January, 2007 in the newly created role
of Chief Operating Officer (COO). ICANN’s COO has executive oversight
of operational services, including IANA, support of contracted parties
(registries/registrars), contractual compliance, policy development support,
and major project initiatives. Additionally, the COO is responsible for
internal business operation functions (Finance, Human Resources and Information
Technology). The COO is also responsible for managing ICANN’s strategic
plan/operating plan/budget planning cycle, reporting, and metrics.
Mandy
Carver - Deputy General Manager, Global Partnerships
Mandy Carver (Kathryn A. Carver) joined ICANN as the Deputy General
Manager for Global Partnerships in November 2006. Her responsibilities
include identifying and assessing the policy issues emerging from local
internet conditions as well as leading, managing, and mentoring a team
of regional liaisons that collaborate with local constituents and represent
ICANN’s global strategy.
Steve
Chan - New gTLD Process Coordinator
Steve joined ICANN in February 2008 and serves as New gTLD Process
Coordinator where he is responsible for coordinating the processes for
new and renewing gTLD applications.
David
Closson - Director of IT Operations
David joined ICANN in February of 2009 bringing 11 years of network,
systems and NOC management experience from the Internet service provider
and managed co-location industry.
Tim
Cole - Chief Registrar Liaison
Tim works in conjunction with the Director of Contract Compliance to
review the operations of the gTLD domain name registrars. This involves
promoting their compliance with ICANN agreements and policies and partnering
with them to assure smooth operations. He oversees the registrar new and
renewal accreditation process. Tim also provides oversight for the ICANN
approved dispute resolution service providers who administer UDRP and
other domain name dispute services.
Carole
Cornell - Director, Project Office
Carole Cornell joined ICANN in November 2006 as the Director, Project
Office. Her role is to create and maintain a uniform approach to project
management; provide oversight for all projects, and serve as a change
agent for continuous improvement through improved/enhanced methodologies.
Carole brings over 25 years of diversified, multi-national and global
experience in project management. Most recently Carole served as Vice
President, Operations and in Business Development at WET Design. Prior
to that, Carole was with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) as Executive Director,
Project Technical Services and Integrated Business Applications.

S. Cotton - Manager, IETF Relations (PGP Key)
Michelle joined ICANN in 2000 and has served various roles, primarily
focusing on IANA functions. Michelle currently serves as the Manager,
IETF Relations. In that capacity she develops and maintains working relationships
with the IETF Community.
John
Crain - Senior Director - Security, Stability and Resiliency
(PGP Key)
John is responsible for establishing strategy, planning and execution
for ICANN’s external Security, Stability and Resiliency programs.
He works on a cross functional basis with the ICANN executive team, staff
and the community to enable and enhance capabilities that improve the
overall security, stability and resiliency of the Internet’s Identifier
Systems and associated infrastructures and represents ICANN in operational
and technical dialogues and forums to ensure the full communities engagement
with these programs.

Dam - Senior Director, IDNs
Tina serves as Senior Director, IDNs, where she develops and manages
all IDN related projects at ICANN.

Davies - Manager, Root Zone Services
Kim Davies joined ICANN as IANA Technical Liaison. His primary responsibilities
are for DNS root zone management, and other domain name related aspects
of IANA’s work.

Esmat - Manager, Regional Relations – Middle East
Baher Esmat is part of ICANN Global Partnerships. He joined ICANN in
February 2006 from the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information
Technology (MCIT), where he had served since 2002, most recently as Telecom
Planning Manager, where his responsibilities included projects relating
to communications infrastructure and service development within the framework
of building Egypt’s Information Society.

Fowlie - Ombudsman
Frank is the inaugural ICANN Ombudsman. He has been the Ombudsman since
November 2004.
Liz
Gasster - Senior Policy Counselor, ICANN Policy Support
Liz Gasster joined ICANN as Senior Policy Counselor in October 2007.
In this role, Liz is responsible for supporting the Generic Names Supporting
Organization (GNSO), which includes working with the GNSO to develop global
policies that advance ICANN’s mission of preserving the security,
stability and interoperability of the Internet.

Giza - Senior Director, Contractual Compliance
David joined ICANN in November 2008 as Senior Director, Contractual
Compliance where he is responsible for the strategic development of contractual
compliance efforts.
Steve
Gobin - Registrar Liaison Manager
Based out of ICANN’s Brussels office, Steve is the main point of
contact within ICANN for European registrars and provides a variety of
service support to ICANN stakeholders in the region as well as overall
support related to ICANN’s accreditation process.
Daniel
E. Halloran - Deputy General Counsel (PGP Key)
Dan is a graduate of Loyola Law School (Los
Angeles) and the University of Chicago College,
and has studied at the Universidad Nacional
Autónoma de México. Dan speaks and writes Spanish fluently,
is familiar with Portuguese and has studied Mandarin Chinese.

Hedlund - Vice President of Government Affairs - Americas
Jamie joined ICANN in January 2010 and heads
the Washington, DC, office, where he is responsible for US government
relationships and also supports all other government relationships in
the Americas as well as the Global Partnerships unit.
Pablo
Hinojosa - ICANN Global Partnership - Latin American Liaison
Previous to joining ICANN, Pablo was Director for Multilateral Affairs
in the Mexican Federal Telecommunications Commission (COFETEL). As a government
official, he was the Representative from Mexico at ICANN’s Governmental
Advisory Committee (GAC), where he held the positions of Vice- Chair and
Convener of the Working Group on ccTLDs. He has attended numerous ICANN
meetings since 2001.

Hoggarth - Senior Policy Director
Rob joined ICANN in January 2008 and serves as Senior Policy Director
where he manages global policy activities and acts as a point of contact
to cross functional teams.
Anne-Rachel
Inné - Regional Liaison for Africa
Anne-Rachel is part of the Global Partnership department at ICANN that
has a network of seven regional liaisons so far. It was established in
response to Internet community demand and in implementation of ICANN’s
publicly agreed strategic plan. Her responsibilities include outreach,
support to and engagement with respective regions and stakeholders, civil
society, business and governments; partnering with respective organizations;
delivering against an action plan consistent with ICANN’s operations
and strategic plans.
Yurie
Ito - Director, Global Security Programs
Yurie joined ICANN in April 2008 as Director, Global Security Programs
where she leads ICANN’s involvement in collaborative response activities
and works with ICANN partner organizations and stakeholders at global
and regional levels in implementing ICANN security, stability and resiliency
programs.

Jeffrey - General Counsel
John brings 18 years of legal and business experience in the technology
and entertainment industries to this position and has provided services
to individuals, non-profits/trusts, and companies (from startups to Fortune
500 companies) as a dealmaker, litigator, corporate and intellectual property
lawyer, and business executive.

L. Jones - Senior Manager of Continuity & Risk Management
Patrick serves in ICANN's Security Group and manages ICANN's enterprise
risk management and continuity processes. Patrick joined ICANN in March
2006.

Michele joined ICANN in August 2008 and serves as Executive Assistant
providing specific support to the Corporate Affairs team as well as general
administrative support for the whole organization.

S. King - Communications and Publications Manager
Tanzanica King joined ICANN in September 2002 and serves as Communications
and Publications Manager. She is primarily responsible for art production
and print communications for ICANN meetings and conferences, as well as
content management for the ICANN meeting websites.

Konings - Policy Director
Marika Konings joined ICANN in July 2008 as Policy Director. In this
capacity she will be managing policy development activities in support
of the GNSO.

Kulik - System Administrator (PGP Key)
Alexander manages many critical ICANN IT services such as real time,
continuous backup system, the financial system and the Dial UP/ Wireless/
Broadband Internet connectivity system.
Janice
Douma Lange - Project Coordinator / Fellowship Program
Janice Douma Lange joined ICANN as a Coordinator for the Project Office
in February 2007. In September 2007, she assumed the additional role of
managing the Fellowship Program, which provides an opportunity for selected
candidates from developing and underdeveloped countries to participate
in the ICANN International Public meetings around the world.

Langenegger - Manager At-Large Regional Affairs
Matthias Langenegger joined ICANN in February 2008. In his capacity
as At-Large Regional Affairs Manager, he supports the participation of
the regional At-Large organisations in ICANN's policy processes and helps
coordinate the regional activities with those of the At-Large Advisory
Committee.

Lentz - Manager, Business Research & Content
Karen Lentz joined ICANN in 2003. Karen works with the Services group
to coordinate and manage research needs and create external reporting
on work in process within the group. Prior to this role, she served as
part of the gTLD Registry Liaison area.

Karen joined ICANN in December 2007 and serves as Administrative Support
Manager responsible for supervising the administrative team as well as
facilities, office equipment, travel services, purchasing, etc.

the organizational review process throughout ICANN.

Markovski - Global Partnership,
Regional Liaison for Russia, CIS, Eastern Europe
Veni chairs the Bulgarian President's IT Advisory
Committee since 2002, and has served on the Boards of ICANN, the Internet
Society, CPSR, Sofia New Symphony Orchestra, and others. In 2003 he ran
for mayor of Sofia. In 2006-2009 Veni Markovski supported the work of
the Bulgarian Governmental Agency for Information Technologies and Communications
by advising its chairman; he currently continues to help the Bulgarian
government on international ITC-related issues. He has also been expert
to several Bulgarian Parliaments, and is among the contributors to different
laws, among them the Telecommunications Act, the Penal Code (computer
crimes chapter), the Electronic Document and Digital Signature Law, the
Copyright Law, and others.

Nordling - Director, Services Relations and Branch Manager,
Brussels office
Olof is a Swedish national and holds an MSc and was for many years
Head of the TeliaSonera, the Swedish/Finnish Telecommunications group’s
Brussels office, where he was responsible for relations to the EU institutions
for Telecommunications policy matters. In the past Olof was Counsellor
and Head of the Science and Technology office at the Swedish Embassy in
Paris. Prior to this he was Deputy Trade Commissioner for Sweden, based
in Los Angeles. In his earlier career Olof was a Systems Analyst for Honeywell
Bull in Paris.

Rasheed - Compliance Audit Manager
Khalil is the Compliance Audit Manager at ICANN. Khalil is responsible
for implementing the audit related goals and objectives of the Contractual
Compliance department. He is primarily responsible for all compliance
audits of gTLD registry and registrar agreements. He also serves as the
ICANN liaison to domain name dispute arbitration panels and intellectual
property attorneys to resolve sensitive trademark issues.

Rattray - Chief Internet Security Advisor
Greg joined ICANN in July 2008 as Chief Internet Security Advisor where
he provides expertise on security matters both external and internal while
managing the Security group.

Leo Vegoda is the Manager, Number Resources. In that capacity he develops
and maintains working relationships with the five RIRs and their respective
communities; supports policy development with analysis of technical considerations;
and supports IANA operations with RIR-related technical and communications
issues. Leo is currently reviewing the IANA IPv4 registry.

Save Vocea joined ICANN in October 2006 to promote ICANN and foster
relations in the Oceania region by engaging with various Internet stakeholder

Kevin Wilson became the Chief Financial Officer of ICANN in June 2007.
As CFO, Kevin leads all financial aspects of ICANN including accounting,
budgeting, financial analysis, financial compliance, procurement, and

Joette Youkhanna joined ICANN as a Coordinator for the Project Office in
October 2007. Joette provides Project Coordination support on a variety
of projects and serves as Staff Support to ICANN's Nominating Committee.

Robb is Director-gTLD Application Processing responsible for overseeing
the development of the business processes and technology solutions required

Rick started performing IANA functions in 2007 after escaping from
Washington DC where he was Director Global IT Policy at the US Department
of State. While there he spent much of his time working to ensure policymakers
and other stakeholders understood the technology and philosophy behind
the Internet and other information technologies.

Michel - Vice President, Policy Development
Denise has been involved in the evolution of the Internet for over
20 years, and has served in positions of increasing responsibility
with the U.S. Senate, the U.S. National Science Foundation, the American
Electronics Association, the Clinton Administration, and an Internet start-up.
She joined ICANN in 2001, and as ICANN’s Vice President for Policy,
she oversees its bottom-up, consensus-based policy process, and works
with her international staff and the ICANN community to support the stable
and secure operation of the Internet’s unique identifier systems.

Peck - Registrar Liaison Manager
Brian joined ICANN in September 2009 as Registrar Liaison Manager.
His role is to promote registrar compliance with ICANN agreements and
policies, assist in the resolution of disputes, and work with the policy
development staff to implement new policies approved by the community
and the ICANN Board.

Roman joined ICANN in August 2007 and serves as the Director of IT
overseeing application development, systems, and support.
Dave
Piscitello - Senior Security Technologist
Dave is a recognized expert in the fields of Internet routing, broadband
access and security. He served as an IESG area director of the IESG and
authored several RFCs. Dave started a private consulting firm in 1993,
and served as a technical advisor to a number of successful Internet startups.
An enthusiastic freelance writer, Dave has published articles with the Business
Communications Review, Wall Street Ticker, ENISA Journal, Information
Security Magasine, and ISSA Journal. Dave also spent many
years testing and evaluating emerging technology and publishing results
in numerous trade publications. He has co-authored two books on Internet
technologies and served as an acquisitions editor for a major publisher,
and has also provided editorial supervision of web information portals
and conference program development for major conference operators.

Steve is Senior Technical Analyst, Policy where he supports projects
of SSAC and provides research and technical support for other policy projects,
especially in the GSNO arena.

Shiu - Senior Counsel, Asia Pacific
Ken Shiu joined ICANN in August 2009 and is based in ICANN's Sydney
office. As a member of ICANN's legal team, he is responsible for providing
legal support on ICANN operational matters.
