ICANN Posts FAQ on New gTLD Process

8 May 2007

The GNSO is now in the process of completing its Final Report on the introduction of new generic top-level domains (gTLDs). This report will contain the GNSO’s official policy recommendations concerning the future addition of new gTLDs to the DNS. When released, the report will conclude the GNSO’s policy development process on this particular issue.

As this topic continues to generate significant interest, ICANN has compiled answers to frequently-asked questions to aid the community in understanding recent developments and expected future steps in this area.
