Reminder of Request for Comments on ICANN Accountability and Transparency Management Operating Principles

On 16 October ICANN posted an announcement seeking community input on the development of Transparency and Accountability Management Operating Principles. The comment period will close on 31 December and ICANN encourages members of the community respond to this very important issue. Futhermore, as announced at the São Paulo meeting, ICANN is engaging the One World Trust - an organization that works with global organisations to assist them (through education, training and research) to be more accountable to the people they affect. One World Trust will work with ICANN over the coming months to benchmark ICANN’s accountability and transparency against similar organizations and help develop a plan for addressing any issues identified.
In addition to the questions raised in the original request for comment, ICANN is also seeking input on the terms of reference for the work to be undertaken by the One World Trust.
