ICANN Answers Auerbach's Allegations

18 April 2002

As previously reported, ICANN Director Karl Auerbach has sued ICANN in state court in Los Angeles, California. The lawsuit grows out of Auerbach's insistence that he has unfettered discretion to decide how he may use the materials he obtains as an ICANN Director and whether he must respect their confidentiality. On 17 April 2002, ICANN submitted its formal answer to Auerbach's allegations. As reflected in that answer, ICANN believes that Mr. Auerbach's position in his lawsuit is factually and legally unwarranted.
