Mehmet Akcin was hired by ICANN as Network Engineer in early June, 2006.

He attended previous ICANN meetings in Canada and New Zealand. He also attended and presented at different meetings such as NANOG, RIPE, and CIF.

Carlos is an attorney graduated from the Colombian Universidad de los Andes Law School; he served for almost 5 years as the head of the Legal & Business Affairs Division at Sony Music in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Peru; while in this position he was a member of the Andean Legal Committee of the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry).

Robert Antrobus

Matt Ashtiani

Matt graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a triple Bachelor of Arts in International Developmental Studies, Political Science, History and a minor in Middle Eastern/North African Studies. After his undergraduate career Matt moved to Dublin, Ireland where he completed his Masters of Philosophy in International Peace Studies with a specialty in International Relations from Trinity College Dublin.

In addition to English, Matt speaks fluent Farsi and some Spanish.

Amanda Baber

Amanda Baber joined ICANN in November 2006. She processes requests from the IETF community and other stakeholders interested in protocol parameter registration. Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Pomona College.

Connor joined ICAAN in March 2013. As a Network Security Engineer, he is responsible for identifying security issues and implementing enterprise security solutions. When not engaged with security projects, Connor also assists the End User Support and IT Operations teams.

Edward Beck

Edward Beck joined ICANN in August 2012 as the Vice President of Information Technology. He is responsible for establishing long term Information Technology goals, policies and procedures while forging an enterprise wide technology roadmap for sustained growth and continuous improvement.

Bridgett joined ICANN in December 2007 as Sr. Human Resources Generalist, where she manages a broad range of HR functions including HR systems, employee relations, benefits and compensation administration, performance management, staffing, training and development and records management.

Megan Bishop

Megan holds her BA in History from California State University, Northridge. Prior to working with ICANN, Megan was the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer at the Simon Wiesenthal Center. She worked primarily in facilitating the progress of the new Museum of Tolerance now under construction in Jerusalem.

Bart started working for ICANN in October 2005 and currently serves as Sr Director, ccNSO Policy Development Support where he is responsible for working with the ccNSO on policy and related matters.

Connie joined ICANN in October 2004 and serves as Contractual Compliance Specialist supporting the contract compliance and audit functions.

Xavier Calvez

Xavier Calvez joined ICANN in August 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings to his position two decades of international experience in strategic planning, financial reporting, analysis and modeling and financial systems implementation. Prior to joining ICANN, he held progressive leadership positions in finance at Technicolor/Thomson Multimedia over a ten-year period, ultimately serving as CFO for Technicolor Creative Services.

Leticia Castillo-Sojo

Spanish lawyer with 4 years of experience in international law and trade. Served as an intern at the Spanish Embassy in Algeria, capturing her experiences in various reports that were published nationwide by the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade. Fluent in Spanish, English and French.

Tom Chard

Tom joined ICANN in April 2013. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University SLO with a focus in Financial Management.

Chhun Chy

Chhun joined ICANN as a contractor in August 2009 and became a Staff member in late July 2012. Her duties include providing support for the three annual international ICANN Meetings, overseeing code updates, training contractors, and managing both static and dynamic content for ICANN's numerous websites.

Tim Cole

Kent Crispin

Kent Crispin became Technical Systems Manager at ICANN on 4 February 2002. Prior to that time, he was with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for twenty-two years as a Computer Scientist. Pierre Dandjinou

Pierre joined ICANN in December 2012, as the VP for Africa. He coordinates implementation of ICANN's strategic plan for Africa and is responsible for outreach, support and engagement with all stakeholders, including governments, civil society and private sector in the Africa region.

Teresa Elias joined ICANN in August 2010 as the Executive Assistant to Rod Beckstrom, CEO. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings to ICANN over 20 years in state government, corporate, and non-profit C-level executive support experience. Most recently, she was the executive assistant to Symantec's corporate controller.

Deborah Escalera

Deborah Escalera is a new member of the Generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) team. She began working for ICANN on October 31st, 2011 as the Administrative Assistant for the team. Deborah is responsible for handling administrative duties as well budget tracking, and application coordination.

Recently joined ICANN in the Brussels office. Belgian native he speaks French, Dutch and English. He held many positions in the IT Support within Large Scale companies in the Pharmaceutical and Finance Industry in Belgium. He is now in charge of End User Support.

Cristina Flores joined ICANN in October 2012, and is responsible for creating and managing content for the New gTLD Program. Cristina brings years of knowledge management and customer service experience to ICANN. She received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and history from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has lived in Chile, Guatemala, and Argentina.

Vanessa graduated from CSUSB with a degree in Biology and received a Master's of Science in Medical Sciences from Western University of Health Sciences. She enjoyed research in both molecular biology and paleontology, but moved on and joined ICANN in August 2012. She serves ICANN as an Application Coordinator for the New gTLD Program and assists with Customer Service projects.

Allen Grogan

Allen Grogan joined ICANN in May 2013 as Chief Contracting Counsel. He is responsible for ICANN contracting matters, including agreements associated with implementation of the New gTLD Program. Prior to joining ICANN, Allen served in executive legal and business roles at both public and private technology companies.

Jamie Hedlund

Jamie joined ICANN in January 2010 and is the head of its Washington, DC office. As VP, Stakeholder Engagement - North America, he is responsible for ICANN's engagement with its stakeholders in the region, including governments, private sector, technical community, and public interest organizations.

Nigel Hickson

Nigel works out of the Brussels office for the Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) team. As such, he leads on coordination with institutions (such as the European Union; OECD and ITU); governments and other significant Community members.

Lars Hoffmann

Lars Hoffmann joined ICANN in December 2012 as a policy analyst. Previously to joining ICANN, Lars was an Assistant Professor at Maastricht University and a Researcher at the Federal Trust in London. Lars holds postgraduate degrees from Oxford and the LSE. He is fluent in English and French, in addition to his native German. In his free time, Lars likes to play tennis and take his two Vizslas for walks.

Elizabeth Hoover

Liz joined ICANN in April 2012 as Human Resources Manager. As a member of the HR team, Liz’s emphasis is on compensation, benefits, HRMS, records, compliance and safety. Many of the human resources transactional processes are managed by Liz. This includes onboarding, offboarding and other changes in employment status.

Alice Jansen

Alice joined ICANN in 2010 as Assistant, Organizational Reviews, and most recently served as Organizational Reviews Manager. In her current role as Strategic Initiatives Manager, Alice manages projects in the strategic initiatives department and is responsible for Affirmation of Commitments Review Teams and structural review activities. Based in Brussels, Alice has dual British-French citizenship.

Patrick is part of ICANN's Security team. Patrick coordinates ICANN's Security, Stability and Resiliency responsibilities across the organization and supports ICANN's DNS Risk Management Framework initiative.

Jacks has been in the Audit and Risk Management profession for over 14 years, while managing international and domestic audits for various High Tech Firms to the Supplements Industry. He has extensive experience in both IT and Financial Auditing, as well as thorough knowledge of audit planning, scoping, and managing of complex audit activities.  Jacks holds 2 degrees (International Business and Economics) from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville Texas, as well as an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.

Tanzanica joined ICANN in September 2002 and serves as Information and Design Manager, Meetings. She is focused on improvement in internal processes for planning ICANN Meetings. In addition, she is responsible for meeting site content development and design, and handles various art production needs for ICANN Meetings.

Kevin Kreuser

Kevin joined ICANN in April 2013 as Senior Counsel, responsible primarily for contracting matters, including agreements associated with implementation of the New gTLD Program. For much of the past 10-years, Kevin has served in the role of in-house counsel, most notably with Intel Corporation and Best Western International, providing counsel and advice regarding contract, general corporate, international, intellectual property, data security and privacy matters.

Petya joined ICANN in September 2012 and serves as Administrative Assistant for the Brussels's office. She is responsible for administrative duties for the Global Engagement department and senior level management. She holds her Bachelor Honors Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from IHTTI School of Hotel Management in Neuchatel, Switzerland. Christopher Mondini is ICANN's Vice President, Business Engagement. Christina Rodriguez joined ICANN in December 2008 as our Translation Manager.
