gTLD Registry Agreements establish the rights, duties, liabilities, and obligations ICANN requires of registry operators to run gTLDs.

Amendment No. 5 to the .ORG Registry Agreement

(20 June 2013)

ICANN and Public Interest Registry agree that the following modifications are made to the .ORG Registry Agreement dated 8 December 2006, as amended (the "Agreement"):

  1. The Parties agree that Section 4.1 of the Agreement is amended and restated in its entirety to read as follows:

    "4.1 Term. The initial term of this Agreement shall expire on August 31, 2013, the "Expiration Date," as extended by any renewal terms."

  2. The Parties agree that, except as set forth herein, the current terms of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

  3. This Amendment will become effective when all parties have signed it. The date of this Amendment will be the date this Amendment is signed by the last party to sign it (as indicated by the date associated with that party's signature).
